Volunteer Beach Cleanups Near Perdido Key

One hour on a Saturday morning, a bag, a grabber, and a beach that looks better when you leave than when you got there. The group that runs these around here is Ocean Hour Florida.

Who runs them

Ocean Hour Florida is a volunteer group that holds one-hour cleanups every Saturday morning around Pensacola, Pensacola Beach, Gulf Breeze and Okaloosa County. Site captains lead each area, and the location changes week to week: beaches, bridges, bayous and parks.

How it works

Before you drive over, check the beach today for the flags and wind.

Upcoming cleanups

From Ocean Hour's full schedule, checked September 29, 2026. Their list is the one to trust if anything changes.

The big one: International Coastal Cleanup

On Saturday, October 10, Keep Pensacola Beautiful runs its International Coastal Cleanup from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at Casino Beach Pavilion and Park West on Pensacola Beach. It's the easiest one to reach from the Key, and it's a good morning to bring the whole family.

Keep it going on your own beach day

You don't need a group to help. Carry out what you carry in, and grab one piece of trash on the walk back to the car. The sea turtle guide covers what matters on the Key in nesting season, and the beach rules explain what the counties require.
