How this works
Every week we put up a handful of reader photos from Perdido Key, Orange Beach, and the water in between — sunrise at the Pass, a double-red day from the balcony, the dog that finally got in the Gulf. Anyone can vote, one tap per photo, and the count updates live. Sunday night we lock the tally; the top photo goes on the Wall of Fame with the photographer's name on it, and the next week's field goes up Monday.
What wins
Honestly, the shot that looks like here. A phone photo of a real moment beats a stock-looking postcard every time — light, weather, and a bit of story win more votes than filters. Landscape or portrait both work; we show the full frame, uncropped.
Sending one in
Use the photo form. Tell us roughly where it was taken and when, and how you want to be credited. You keep the copyright; you are giving us permission to show it here and in the newsletter with your credit attached, and nothing else — the photo terms say exactly that in plain English. We do not run photos of people who did not agree to be photographed, drone shots over private property, or anything taken somewhere you were not supposed to be.
