City Coffee and Ice Cream lives in the Villagio shops on Perdido Key Drive, and it solves two condo-vacation problems with one storefront: morning coffee and the nightly ice cream run. Open daily 7am to 10pm, it covers the whole arc of a beach day — espresso and lattes when you’re headed to the sand, cones and sundaes when you’re walking back.
What to order
The coffee side is a full espresso program — drip, americano, cappuccino, plus frozen blended things like the City Mocha Blast for the it’s-too-hot-for-hot-coffee crowd. The ice cream case runs from homemade vanilla and strawberry cheesecake to kid-bait flavors like Super Cow and Pirate Treasure, in cups or waffle cones. There’s boba tea with popping boba in strawberry, mango, and peach, plus Thai and taro if you know what you’re about. Snow cones and fresh donuts round out the sugar portfolio.
The vibe
A sweet shop in a beach shopping village, which is to say: families in flip-flops, kids negotiating for a second scoop, and a line that moves. Nobody’s reinventing dessert here — they’re just keeping the Key supplied with it, fourteen hours a day.
