When is the cheapest and least crowded time to visit Perdido Key?
November through February is the cheapest and least crowded window, with condo rates often less than half of summer and beaches you'll have mostly to yourself. The catch: the water is cold (high 50s to low 60s), so it's a walk-and-relax season, not a swim season. If you want low crowds AND swimmable water, aim for early May or late September instead — the shoulder weeks are the real value play.
Rock-bottom rates: December and January
The dead of winter is when you'll find the lowest nightly rates of the year. Snowbirds book monthly stays, but week-to-week short bookings are cheap and wide open. The beach is beautiful and empty, restaurants have tables, and you can actually get a sunset spot at the Flora-Bama without a wait. You just won't be getting in the water.
The value sweet spot: shoulder weeks
If cold water is a dealbreaker, the smarter move is the shoulder — the first couple weeks of May and the back half of September into early October. You get warm, swimmable Gulf, small crowds, and rates well below the July peak. It's the closest thing to having summer to yourself.
Weeks to avoid if you want quiet
