Every dolphin boat on the island can show you a dorsal fin. Dolphins Down Under is the one where the show continues after the dolphins go under — glass-bottom viewing means the “down under” in the name is doing actual work, not just being cute. It runs off Perdido Beach Blvd on stable catamaran hulls, which keeps things smooth in the generally calm back-bay water.
The cruise
All cruises run 90 minutes — daily dolphin trips plus sunset runs — and they’re confident enough to advertise guaranteed dolphin sightings. Private charters are available too, if you’d rather have the boat for a birthday or a family reunion than share it with strangers.
Good to know
No outside drinks, but they sell both the adult and kid varieties on board. Strollers and car seats stay at check-in, not on the boat. And in a mildly surprising side hustle, they also rent beach wagons, metal detectors, and sand scoopers by the day — so if your vacation plan involves both dolphins and treasure hunting, this is oddly the one phone call that covers it.
