Ice, beer, sunscreen, a forgotten charger, a bag of limes, and the emergency box of cereal. That is the job of the small markets and gas-station stops along the Key, and they do it well — but they're priced for convenience and stocked for a night, not a week. If you're feeding a condo full of people, do the real run at a full-size supermarket on the way in and treat the island stops as top-ups.
A week's worth in one trip
Locals shop the way the week actually goes: breakfast stuff and coffee (mornings are the beach window, nobody wants to drive), sandwich fixings and a cooler plan for the sand, one or two easy dinners for the nights you're too sunburned to go out, and paper towels — condos never leave enough.
