Nami Sushi opened in 2025 in the Canal Road strip space that used to be Bon Temps Po’boys, trading po-boys for a full Japanese menu — and giving Orange Beach something it didn’t have much of: a dedicated sushi spot that isn’t a side hustle inside a seafood house.
What to order
The menu runs wider than the name suggests: sushi rolls and sashimi, hibachi, udon and soba noodle bowls, and bento boxes when you want one of everything in an organized fashion. Early reviews keep circling the same points — the sushi is fresh and the flavors are dialed in, which for a first-year sushi bar is the whole ballgame.
The vibe
Strip-mall sushi, which any sushi eater will tell you is frequently where the good stuff lives. It’s a welcoming, unfussy room; you’re here for the fish, not the decor. Takeout and delivery both run through their online ordering, and the bento boxes travel well back to a condo.
Good to know
New restaurant, small room, summer town — going at off-peak hours is the move in season. It’s also a genuinely useful counterweight when the group has hit its fried-shrimp limit for the week.
