Perdido Key Sports Bar sits right on Perdido Key Drive, and it is exactly what the name says — no reinvention, no concept. It’s been run by the same local family for over a decade, which on a strip of condos and turnover is its own kind of credential. When there’s a game on and you’re on the Key, this is where it’s playing: 40-plus TVs inside and out, so you’re never craning at somebody else’s screen.
What to order
Wings are the calling card — the bar says they’ve been voted best on the Key, and locals don’t argue much. Burgers, fried shrimp and fish, and chicken strips round out a menu that knows better than to get clever. The kitchen runs late, which matters more than you’d think out here.
The vibe
Locals’ bar first, sports bar second, tourist stop third. Doors open at 11, happy hour runs daily, and there’s live music and bar games on various nights. The porch seating is where the regulars end up.
Good to know
It’s a Perdido Chamber member and a genuine locals’ hang — go for a Saturday in football season and you’ll meet half the island.
