What it is

The first is for boat owners: a licensed captain to run your boat for a day, deliver it from wherever you bought it to wherever you keep it, teach you to dock the thing without an audience, or manage it while you are away. The second is for everyone else: a private tiki boat that carries up to 18 people on slow cruises out of Orange Beach (the Pink Pearl leaves Reel Surprise Marina, 27267 Perdido Beach Blvd) and Pensacola.
Who it’s for
The tiki side suits bachelorette weekends, birthday groups, and families who want the sunset from the water without anyone in the group being responsible for the boat. The captain side suits the new owner who just bought a big boat and is quietly terrified of Perdido Pass on a Saturday, and the snowbird who needs the boat moved south in October. The tiki is BYOB, per their FAQ, but they ask you not to bring anything with red dye, such as wine.
Before you book
Contact is by phone or email, and the tiki fills on summer weekends, so plan ahead. Tiki boats are bay boats — flat water, not the Gulf — so wind matters less than for a parasail trip, but check beach today anyway.
