The Fun Boats run out of Bayou Road near Perdido Pass, and they’ve been at it long enough to be the default answer when someone asks us where to take the kids to see dolphins. Two identical boats work from the same marina, which in practice means more departure times and less “sorry, we’re full” in July.
The cruise
Daytime and sunset trips both run two hours — dolphin watching plus educational sea-life demonstrations, and on the day trips you can actually get in the Gulf. There’s inside and outside seating, restrooms on board, and drinks and snacks for purchase, so nobody’s white-knuckling it with a toddler.
What it costs
This is one of the cheaper tickets on the island: last we checked, $28 for ages 12 and up on daytime cruises, $22 for kids 2–11, and $30 flat for the sunset run (plus tax, and subject to change). Bad weather gets you a refund or reschedule, not a shrug.
Good to know
Book through their site — the two boats load from different parking areas, so read your confirmation before you wander the marina looking lost.
